Is your organisation, faith community or non-profit association vulnerable to violence, intimidation or harassment linked to the premises where your activities are conducted? You may be eligible for financial support to improve your security.

In our terms and conditions, you will find out if your organisation is eligible to be granted financial support.

Application periods and max amount 2023

In 2023, the maximum amount is SEK 700,000 per application period. This means that one and the same organization can apply for a maximum of SEK 700,000 during each application period.

Application period 1: 1 January– 15 March

Application period 2: 1 April – 15 June

Application period 3: 1 July – 15 September

How do I apply for funding?

Fill out the application form and send it to us. We will only consider applications if the information is complete and the required supporting documents are attached.

Who processes the applications?

Kammarkollegiet reviews the applications and pays out the support if it is granted. The Swedish Police Authority is the referral body, which means that the Authority is involved and determines whether the measures are appropriate. The Police Authority may also provide other relevant information.

Law on extra security measures

The Swedish Government has decided that organisations may be granted support for the protection and guarding of buildings if they are vulnerable to violence, intimidation or harassment on the grounds of skin colour, national or ethnic origin, faith, sexual orientation, transgender identity or any other similar circumstance. The law came into effect on 1 October 2018.
