A common question regarding insurance is when is a card or certificate recommended or required. The following are insurances where this can be the case.

Business travel

When travelling on business, it’s good for you to have an insurance card – the Swedish State Business Travel Insurance Certificate – with you. You can get this from your employer. The public authority can send an email to Kammarkollegiet at forsakring@kammarkollegiet.se to order the card for you.

Depending on where you travel on business, you may need a valid insurance certificaet, for example when applying for a visa. Your employer must order this certificate for you. They do this by contacting Kammarkollegiet at forsakring@kammarkollegiet.se. They should indicate that the request is regarding a business travel insurance certificate and include your name and birthdate, as well as the period the insurance is valid. Contact your public authority and ask them to order this for you.

URA contract for assignments abroad

When stationed abroad, it’s good for you to have an insurance card with you – the URA Insurance Card. You can get this from your employer. The public authority can send an email to Kammarkollegiet at forsakring@kammarkollegiet.se to order the card for you.
