The URA insurance is provided by state authorities for personnel stationed abroad, in accordance with the Agreement on Overseas Contracts and Guidelines for Employment Conditions for Service Abroad (URA).
Submitting a claim
If you are covered by this insurance, you can make a claim by filling out the claim form - you can find it here on this page. The form must be signed by you and your employer - the state authority - and then sent by regular mail to Kammarkollegiet. Based on your application, we make a decision regarding the amount of compensation you will receive. You may need to include documentation with your application, see the Terms and Conditions for further information.
What does the insurance cover?
The URA insurance provides the following coverage:
- personal injury protection
- disability and death benefits
- visits by close family members
- travel to visit close family members
- medical and dental care
- home transport
- baggage delay
- third-party liability
- legal expenses.
When and where does the insurance apply?
The insurance applies throughout the world including Sweden (except medical care, dental care and home transport cover which only apply abroad). The insured is covered throughout the employee's service. It also applies during the direct one-way or return journey between the place of residence in Sweden and the country of stationing.
There is no deductible associated with this insurance.

If you were insured previously, the 2011 document contains the correct information for your insurance.
