4 General terms and conditions

4.1 Other insurance

With the exception of disability and death benefits, the insurance only covers damages or costs to the extent that they cannot be covered by other insurance, regulation or law.

4.2 Statutory limitation

The right to compensation expires three years after the date of the event if no notification has been received by Kammarkollegiet. In the case of liability cover, the date of the claim is deemed to be the date on which a claim was made against the insured. In other cases, the date of the claim is the date of the event that forms the basis of the insurance claim.

4.3 Recovery

To the extent that Kammarkollegiet has paid compensation in an insurance case, Kammarkollegiet assumes the insured's right vis-à-vis any other party liable for the damage.

4.4 Application of insurance terms and conditions

In the event of a claim, the insurance terms and conditions stated in the insurance confirmation that was valid when the claim arose are applied.

4.5 Foreign currency

In case of payment in a currency other than SEK, the exchange rate on the day the cost arose is applied.

4.6 Register of insurance claims, GSR

Kammarkollegiet is authorised to register claims related to this insurance in the industry-wide register of insurance claims, GSR.

4.7 Application

If there are differences between terms and conditions in Swedish and in English, the Swedish applies.
